Tuesday 1st July at 7.30pm

Thursday 17th July at 10.30am.

Following the success of recent online workshops, there will be further events in July. This free event is open to ArtServe members only and will be held on Zoom.

This time we’ll be sharing a macrame project, which reminded me of the verse from The Book of Ecclesiastes 4:12 – ‘A threefold cord is not easily broken’. So, I thought it would be nice to have this verse as the title for our workshop. To register please email: and full details and the equipment list will be sent to you.

The macrame piece we’ll be making together is suitable for total beginners, and you won’t need any special tools to complete this. We are going to use three pieces of cord, and you may want to pick three different colours, as I did for the first example below; although the other example shows the leaf is just as pretty using one colour. You will be able to make the tied macrame piece into a different shape, I just like the leaf as it’s quite easy to do without any special templates.

Macrame

If you have access to macrame cord that’s great, but you can also use a cotton yarn or household string. Your knots may be smaller, but they will work in the same way as 3mm macrame cord. Before the workshop, I’ll make some examples using these other yarns so you can see the difference.

How to book

To register for this event please email . You will then be sent joining instructions.

Looking forward to sharing another enjoyable online session with you!
